Can you believe that we're nearly at the end of January? It's been a busy start to the year here, with more people arriving from Nottingham and settling into Chester life. There are also a few Vineyard 53 developments that we're really excited about.
Vision & Values talks
We mentioned in our last post that we were looking for a venue for our first four evening meetings, and now we have one! The Vision and Values talks will be taking place at the Crowne Plaza hotel, on four Wednesday evenings in February (5th, 12th, 19th & 26th) at 8pm.
Hopefully you've have seen the link on our homepage
Here's what John & Anna say:
"This is a really special opportunity to come and find out who we are and why we're here and to get involved right from the very beginning - wherever you would put yourself on the faith journey."
Vineyard Kids
January saw the first official Vineyard Kids meeting here in Chester. Dave and Rosie, who are leading Vineyard Kids, have this to say:
"Vineyard Kids has begun! We have had such fun together learning how much God loves us and how we can love him and other people. We've played silly games, danced around and sung songs to Jesus, been crafty, creatively talked to God and eaten lots of Smarties! We are so excited for next time!"
For more information you can email vkids@vineyard53.org
Tiddlywinks
Anna has also started a Tiddlywinks group. It's a place for mums, babies and toddlers to meet, sing songs, play instruments, enjoy coffee and pastries and talk about parenting issues together. Anna explains what she's excited about:
"building community, having fun, being real about the things we struggle with as mums, sharing life."
So we're keeping busy, and will be updating more regularly to let you know what we're up to, and how we are trying to share Jesus' love here in Chester.
Hope to see you soon!
