Wow! Some things may be winding down for the summer, but our fun just continues:
Our most recent ‘Church Has Left the Building’ was a picnic in the park. On a lovely sunny Sunday morning loads of us from the Vineyard 53 family and many of our friends met at Grosvenor Park for a picnic. It was a really fun, relaxing way to hang out and get to know new people. The candy floss machine ably attended by V53 youth was a great hit.

Tennis final
Although Andy Murray may not have been in the final, many of us gathered after meeting at the Abode, in a back garden to eat strawberries and cream, drink Pimm’s and watch the Wimbledon Final on a big screen! Despite all our cheering for Federer, Djokovic won his well-earned title:)

Summer of fun
We are very excited about August's 'Summer of Fun' events. We chatted about this at the Abode last Sunday and will explain more this week too! We have many, many fun activities that everyone is invited to. Activities include BBQ’s, parties, a beach day at Talacre (one of the best places for ice cream in North Wales), a walk in the beautiful Welsh countryside, a prayer breakfast, a beer and Bible evening and much, much more. Full details of all our events will be coming out weekly during August, so make sure you're signed up to our emails. Send an email to hello@vineyard53.org saying you'd like to receive our updates. You can also follow us on Twitter (@vineyard53) and like us on Facebook (/vineyard53) to stay informed.
This means that there will be no Sunday morning gatherings during the month of August. We've had a blast at the Abode, but we'll take a short break as we get ready for an exciting action packed autumn term. Our first Sunday back at the Abode will be Sunday 13th September.

Additions to our Summer of Fun!
- Sports in the Park: every Thursday in August at Alexandra Park and afterwards at The Lodge on Hoole Road.
- Men vs Wild overnight: Bear Grylls eat your heart out! Only for the brave and adventurous (that’s all of you, right?). As the details are being finalized now would be a good time to brush up on your survival skills as you prepare for this incredible night. Watch this space for further details. (Men only)
- Girls Surfing: Come on ladies, we can do this! A fun day is promised, for one very reasonable fee, wet suits, boards and a lesson included you too can learn to ride the waves along with wonderful companions. What could possibly go wrong? See you there. (Ladies only)
Potential new small groups?
It’s happening! Two more small groups are bubbling up. Groups around the Helsby / Frodsham area and also the Wrexham area gathered recently to see what could happen in the future. It’ll be exciting to see what will unfold in the Autumn term! Email hello@vineyard53.org for more information.
