The Church Has Left The Building
A couple of Sunday’s ago we spent the day helping to ‘re-create’ the gardens at Richmond Court, a project for homeless people in the area. You may remember that we held a Christmas party here for their team at the end of last year. We filled in a pond and replaced it with raised beds, built a rockery and some garden furniture for a ‘quiet’ area in the garden, erected a washing line and planted loads of shrubs!
It was a lovely time working together with the staff and customers at Richmond Court. A number of people were overwhelmed that we would all give our time and resources like this and wanted to know why.

Our next Church Has Left the Building will be a Picnic in the Park at Grosvenor Park on July 5. If you can make it we’d love to see you there. We’ll be meeting there between 11am and 1 pm. Bring a packed lunch or something to share. We’ll have plenty of games to get involved in too!
Adventures
We’ve been saying goodbyes to some of our final year Uni students this week which has been sad – we are however, excited for them and have loved seeing them engage with God and church in this last season. Some are planning to stay around which is fun too!
We prayed for and sent out Naomi yesterday who will be heading to Indian soon to spend the year with the amazing Love the One charity. Many of you have asked about tracking her progress – her Facebook page is here. And we’ll be launching a group in the Autumn to pray for her and the projects in Indian over Skype.

Our next Girls’ Night In coming up will be to create display boards for photos and information to go up in the women’s hostel.
We also have a potential Guys Night In coming up at Richmond Court with pizza and gaming fun hopefully in the next few weeks.
Plans are being put in place for our Summer of Fun, different fun activities being planned for August – do look out for those!
The new small group in Shotton (Wales) is going well and there are other potential small groups in the pipeline in the Wrexham and the Frodsham areas. Watch this space.
Our regular Sunday gatherings at the Abode continue to be a highlight of the week - come and visit us if you've not been before!
