Sunday 1st March 2020We had four regional events happening across Chester, Blacon, Ellesmere Port and North Wales.
In North Wales, we celebrated St.David's Day by having children's activities, refreshments, crafts and storytelling. In Blacon and Ellesmere Port, we were litter picking and had flower craft to hang on people's doors and chocolate to give away. And in Chester, our young adults gave away hundreds of Krispie Kremes to members of the public followed by a meal together. |

Sunday 2nd February 2020We had four regional events happening across Chester, Ellesmere Port and North Wales.
At Alwyn Waters in Wrexham, we supported the Junior Park Run, providing marshals to give all the regular volunteers a break for a week. This was followed by giving out baked treats and drinks to the runners. In Chester we had a Valentine's Day giveaway, giving out heart-shaped balloons and boxes of chocolates for people to keep or give to a loved one. There was also a Young Adults Pudding Party in Chester - something to invite friends along to and build relationships. In Ellesmere Port, there was a bacon butty giveaway and kid's craft taking place for the growing community we have there. |

Love in Action EventsWe have a growing community of people in Ellesmere Port connecting in with us at The Base and other events we organise at our church offices there. We served bacon rolls and had kid's craft for people to take part in with an emphasis on relationship and community building.
The other event was working with a charity called Live! Cheshire who are all about empowering people with disabilities. We renovated their building by painting the outside walls with a new lick of paint. Made and installed new planters, trimmed the edges of the grass and re-painted the railings. |

Easter Egg HuntMeeting on Grosvenor Park, we organised a massive Easter Egg Hunt across the surrounding area - complete with puzzles, riddles and a photo challenge! There was an Under 5s mini egg hunt, a kid's craft area, Easter reflective stations, a catapult¶chute game and a wandering chicken to catch too!

Renovation ProjectsThere were two renovation projects happening at the same time. One was the Blacon Adventure Playground which involved litter-picking, cleaning and painting doors, fencing and walls. The second was renovating the Sensory Garden for the Blind in Ellesmere Port. This involved sweeping, varnishing, gardening and planting herbs and beautiful flowers. We also installed wind chimes and night lighting.
