This Sunday (5th June) is our next 'Church has left the building'. On the first Sunday of each month we do something a little different!
So we’ll not be at Bridge House – but will be based at Richmond Court, Spital Walk, Boughton, Chester, CH3 5DA.
We're doing our first major 're-create' project! We have an exciting opportunity to work alongside the staff and customers at a local homeless hostel to transform their outdoor space. They currently have a big garden at the back which has lots of potential. It is in need of a general tidy up, weeding, planting new shrubs - and we're planning to provide a seated area with new garden furniture, raised vegetable beds and a washing line!
It's going to be epic and a great way to show God's love and his heart to re-create! For more info or to get involved email hello@vineyard53.org. We'll be providing lunch for everyone, so do let us know if you're coming.
10am. People arrive / brief introduction from Sarah McGrady (Richmond Court Manager)
1015am Teams to start gardening!
12pm lunch
1245 Health & safety for afternoon people
1pm teams to start gardening
245pm start setting down
3pm Finish
*The project is for 18+ in age (if you have children between 16-18 who really want to be involved, do chat to us). There are no Vineyard Kids groups happening this week - although a number of children will be meeting at Grosvenor Park.
Please remember to wear appropriate footwear and clothing
If you do have any tools that you can bring we need the following.....
spades
shovels,
hedge shears
secateurs
rakes
general gardening things
Hammers
You’re more than welcome to join us and it’s another great opportunity to bring friends or come for the first time and meet us.
We are excited to get out of the building and share God's love and bring some fun to the people of Chester! Here's some maps below. Call John on 07793443029 if you have any problems.
We'll be back at the Abode on Sunday 14th June.
