Sunday Details
In line with current government guidance, we're launching smaller in-person gatherings at a couple locations across the region. These will be a mixture of live hosting and some of our online content. Although they will look different to a normal Vineyard 53 Sunday gathering, we hope that they will still provide a meaningful way to connect after a long time apart.
All the gatherings will adhere to the current guidelines on social distancing, and places of worship. This includes, for the time being, no singing and limited social interaction.
Our Families Connect events at Northgate Church will include interactive fun for children and families. Please note that we are currently unable to run Vineyard Kids or V53 Youth at our other Sunday meetings. Children and young people are welcome to attend any of the venues, but they will need to stay seated with their parents at all times.
We know that it will be hard for many of us, to turn up to church and not be able to talk to who you like, sit where you like, give people a hug, pray for each other by popping a hand on someone's shoulder and sing together. Like you, we long for the day when we're able to do these things again. But to keep everybody safe there are a number of things we'll ask you to agree to if you attend. These are detailed on the booking page. We have also carefully risk assessed each venue in liaison with the owners, and have ensured they will be cleaned thoroughly before our use.

Do I need to sign up?
If you are planning to come to any of our physical gatherings, you will need to sign up in advance. Each venue will have a limited number of tickets, so to ensure you have a seat, we'll need you to book a ticket. Please don't attend a venue unless you have signed up, as there may not be space for you.
Any children or young people you are bringing with you will also need a ticket. We are aware that the rules on whether children count in maximum numbers allowed to gather vary between England and Wales, but to make things simple, and to ensure the safety of everyone attending, we have chosen to include all children of any age in the maximum number we are allowing at each venue.
If you are able to turn up 15 minutes early, this will really help us to make sure everyone is signed in and seated before the gathering starts.

Will there be any provision for children and youth at any of the venues?
Our Families Connect events at Northgate will be action-packed fun for children and families.
Sadly, at the moment, we are unable to run Vineyard Kids or V53 Youth at our other venues. Children will be welcome to attend with their parents or guardians, but, when indoors, must stay seated with them at all times, to ensure we adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Will it be the same content at every venue?
We hope that each venue will have a unique flavour. The slightly more relaxed guidelines on outdoor gatherings in Wales mean that those venues will be able to have a more social vibe, with greater scope for interaction with more people. We are planning for Northgate to be geared more towards Young Adults and older youth, partly due to its location near the university. We expect Cheshire County Sports Club to have a slightly more family friendly feel.
Each venue will have a mixture of live hosting and online content. The talk will be shown at each venue. Some venues may also opt to show part or all of the worship set. Some venues may opt for additional creative or reflective material to supplement the online content. We know it won't be the same as Sunday gatherings at Bridge House, but we are hoping to provide a meaningful experience for everyone that attends.

What additional safety measures will be in place?
It's important that we all do our best to adhere to government guidelines. This means that gathering together will feel very different to normal. But please help us to keep everybody safe by respecting the rules we have put in place at each venue.
Social distancing of 2m between households/bubbles will be required at each venue. We know this will be a tough one after not seeing each other for so long, but we would ask that no one hug, touch, or shake hands with anyone not in their household or support bubble.
When you arrive at Northgate, Cheshire County Sports Club and Caffi Isa you will be shown to your seat. Again, we know this is tough, but please stay in your seat for the duration of the gathering, this includes any children that are with you. Feel free to wave and smile at the people around you. When the gathering ends you will be directed to the exit in rows by one of the welcome team or hosts.
Each venue will have hand sanitiser stations to use on entry to the building.
Each venue has been risk assessed in liaison with the owners, with increased cleaning measures implemented where necessary.
Where possible venues will have a one way system in place. Please pay attention to the signs so everyone can enter and exit safely.

Do I need to wear a face mask?
If you are coming to one of our indoor venues you'll need to wear a face covering.
If you are categorised as clinically vulnerable or cannot/would prefer not to wear a face covering for the duration of the service, we recommend that you only attend the outdoor venue (Wrexham) or continue to enjoy the services online due to the increased risks associated with attending public worship.
Children under 11 years of age do not need to wear a face covering if they are attending any of our venues (although please note comments above on Vineyard Kids provision).

Will we be able to sing?
Sadly not. Government guidelines still do not allow us to sing together. There may be a live worship leader instead of recorded content at some venues, but we would still ask that you do not sing out loud.
Will we be able to pray for each other?
Although we will not be able to pray for each other in two or threes, or put our hands on each other to pray, we will provide space at each meeting to spend time in God's presence, and to respond personally to what God might be saying to us.
What about toilets?
There are toilets available at every venue, but we would ask that, where possible, you avoid using them. Northgate, Cheshire County and Caffi Isa also have accessible toilets. We have been working with each venue to ensure they are being cleaned regularly.
All our toilets are operating a one in, one out system, unless you are using them with a member of the same household/bubble.
If your children need to go to the toilet, we ask that you accompany them.

Can I chat to other people outside my household?
In England, we will have to adhere to the rule of six. Groups of more than six people will not be allowed to congregate outside the building. We would also ask that unless your bubble or household is more than six people, that you do not attend in groups of more than six. When inside the building, we'll ask you to sit in households or bubbles, 2m apart from other households/bubbles. You can chat to the people around you, but it will be a bit trickier than normal because of social distancing. Feel free to smile and wave at people as well.
In Wales, it is still possible for groups of up to 30 to meet outside. So, providing there is no change to the current guidance, you will be able to chat to others outside the building, maintaining social distancing. However, inside we'll ask you to sit in households or bubbles and not to chat with other households, but feel free to smile and wave.

What do i do if i have symptoms of covid-19?
Please do not attend any of our venues if you have any of the following symptoms of COVID-19:
- A new continuous cough
- A high temperature/fever
- Loss of sense of taste and/or smell
are you taking part in NHS test and trace?
Yes. Part of the reason we are asking people to sign up and checking people in, is so we know who has attended each venue. In the event of someone who has attended testing positive, we will pass those details on to NHS Test and Trace. We will hold all personal data securely and in accordance with GDPR. You can view our privacy policy by clicking here.
Will refreshments be provided at any of the venues?
There will be no refreshments at Caffi Isa, Northgate, or Cheshire County Sports Club. You may bring a drink with you, but please don't eat food inside any of the venues.
how long will the gathering last?
The gatherings at Caffi Isa, Northgate and Cheshire County Sports Club, will probably last around 45 minutes to an hour.
CAn I ATTEND A DIFFERENT VENUE EACH WEEK?
Yes, of course, you don't have to stick to the same venue each week. We would just ask that you don't book into more than one venue in a day to maximise the number of spaces available for other people.
Please also bear in mind, that due to local restrictions, the venues in Flintshire and Wrexham can only be attended by people in their corresponding counties. And people from Flintshire, Wrexham and any other Welsh counties with travel restrictions cannot travel to Chester venues.
