Give Financially

Here at Vineyard 53 we believe that God is generous.

The Bible tells us that ‘every good and perfect gift is from above’. In turn, we are inspired to be a community that gives of our time, our energy and our resources as a response to God’s generosity to us.

V53 runs on the generous giving of those within the church.

How to Give

Bank Transfer

Bank: CAF Cash Bank Account
Sort Code: 40-52-40
Account Number: 00023695
Account Name: Vineyard 53
Reference: V53-(insert your surname)

If you are able to give by Bank Transfer then this would be our preferred method as the bank charges no fee to you for this form of giving. It saves you time and effort, reduces our time in handling payments and allows us to budget more effectively.

In-Person Giving

There are two ways to give on Sundays. There’s a contactless giving device and a box for cash donations.

Boost your giving through Gift Aid

If you are able, please fill in the Gift Aid Declaration form. This enables Vineyard 53 to claim the tax back that you have paid on your donation - that’s currently equivalent to 25p in every £1, so your money will go even further!

FAQs

  • We give in response to what God has done for us. The Bible tells us that ‘every good and perfect gift is from above’. Personally, we’ve found - through our reading of the Old Testament - that 10% of our income has been a helpful guideline or starting point for our giving. As with any other area of involvement in life here at V53, this is entirely up to the individual. We want to give cheerfully and open handedly. In the Bible it states that each person should ‘give what he has decided in his (her) heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion’.

  • That is absolutely ok! There’s no compulsion to give at all.

  • Yes. Please specify in the reference. To make extra sure that we account for the donation correctly, email finance@vineyard53.org with the amount and date of the payment.

  • We spend money pursuing our vision to be a church on an adventure, inviting people into relationship with Jesus and seeking transformation in every part of life. In practice this means that we spend roughly 50% of our income on salaries, 15% on projects and partnerships to love the region and the world, 15% on buildings and the remaining 20% across Kids and Youth, Sundays, training, events and pastoral care.

  • Every effort is made to ensure that the money given to Vineyard 53 is used responsibly and wisely. We therefore have measures in place to safeguard money given to the church. As a Charitable Trust and Company, we are governed by both Charity and Company Law. Our Trustees receive regular accounts and ensure money is used for the purposes for which it is given. Our annual accounts are examined, and copies will be available if you’d like to see them.
