Advent is a season of preparation for Christmas.
Advent means arrival. In advent we prepare our hearts to celebrate Jesus’ arrival at Christmas 2000 years ago. We also ready ourselves in anticipation of the day when Jesus will return to make all things new.
To help you make the most of this season, we’ve curated a list of great advent resources you could use to help you reflect on Christmas and draw closer to God.
Lectio 365
Lectio 365 is a free daily devotional resource that helps you pray with the Bible every day. Lectio 365 marks special seasons like advent with relevant Bible passages and reflections. There’s also a family version which you can access here.

Written by Rich Villodas, this book contains Bible readings, reflections and guides to prayer for every day through advent. You can get it in print or on e-reader.
