Safeguarding
As followers of Jesus we are committed to following Him in sharing God’s love and care for everyone that comes into contact with us, particularly children and adults with additional care and support needs. We want to provide a safe environment in which people can thrive emotionally and spiritually, taking responsibility to safeguard them from any form of abuse. We work in partnership with local statutory organisations, thirtyone:eight and our trustees to ensure that we have a strong safeguarding policy in place. We will record and report any abuse that we discover or suspect.
Staff and volunteers are trained and committed to working together to build an environment and culture that is safe. We conduct enhanced DBS checks for all team members and volunteers who work with under-18s, as well as anyone who may work with vulnerable adults. All relevant team members undergo safeguarding training to ensure they are aware of and follow all our policies and procedures.
