We are a church on an adventure, inviting people into relationship with Jesus and seeking transformation in every part of life.

Each year, we revisit this statement and set our focus for the year ahead.
This year we believe that God wants us to come closer so that we can go further.

Come Closer

God is inviting us to come closer to Him this year. We are to return to a simple pursuit of Him, knowing that we are made for and changed in His presence. For some, this will mean coming close for the first time; for others, it will mean the rekindling of a first love for God. Over the year we will be putting especial emphasis on:

  • Worship - Sung worship is deeply precious to us. It is a place of intimacy with the God who is both friend and king.

  • Prayer - We want to double down in prayer this year, seeking God's face and God's will alone in quiet places and together in shared spaces.

  • Community - We meet God as we gather together. In Small Groups, on Sundays, in Youth and Kids, on teams, over a meal or a coffee - this is a year to continue to press into community.

  • Bible - Jesus is right there in the pages of the Bible. He wants to meet us there.

Go Further

Throughout the Bible and the history of the Church, when people come close to God they find purpose and fuel for the journey. We are to come close so that we can go further this year. In particular, we believe God is inviting us to go further in:

  • Telling others - we are to make disciples of every age across our region. We are particularly excited to push ahead in North East Wales and Ellesmere Port this year.

  • Compassion and generosity - God has led us to new areas of compassion and generosity in the last 12 months. We believe that there's more to come in the next 12.

  • Holy Spirit ministry - God is inviting us to step out courageously and risk looking foolish for Him as we pray in expectation that God is going to move in miraculous ways.

  • Making space - We don't have space on Sundays. We will work over the next year to provide more space on Sunday mornings.
